In the summer of 2018 Sunshine Academy established our partnership with the Luohe Center and training began. Ten key teachers were sent to Bao’an Sunshine Academy and Xuchang Sunshine Academy to receive a four-week training. Because of Luohe’s Director Zhang’s forward-thinking strategy and vision, the Luohe team was the perfect fit for our team to implement our updated method of imparting Sunshine philosophies and practices. Our Project Managers Effie Ren and Janet Qin engaged in an intense 4 months of training and coaching with the result of immediately empowering staff and leaders to lead Sunshine Academy in Luohe. The Sunshine Academy project team provides ongoing coaching and assistance through return visits as well as online guidance services. The enthusiasm of the teaching team at the Luohe Center is consistent with the great vision of the leaders, which lays a solid foundation for promoting the new mode of Sunshine Academy.

The results of our updated model in Luohe were immediate as we saw the Luohe teachers fully embrace Sunshine’s teaching methods. The Luohe students surged ahead as teachers used thematic teaching and active lessons to meet the unique needs of each child.

Sunshine Academy’s work in LuoHe is led by local leaders who were trained by Sunshine Academy. It is a completed project fully managed by the LuoHe Social Welfare Center.
